It is less likely that bed bugs are infesting rooms in your house that you don’t spend much time in. They will stay close to their food source, so that means they are likely to be in your bedroom, living room, den or office.

So those rooms that that you spend the most time in are the places that should be at the top of your priority list.

For other rooms in your house, the same general principles apply as in your bedroom. The first step is to clear the clutter, clean or dry any loose clothing, backpacks, comforters, cushions or whatever. Vacuum and or steam any upholstered furniture as well as rugs or carpets. Then put a layer DE around the pieces of furniture where you spend the most time, as well as under the cushions of upholstered furniture.
